Gangadhar Gopal Gadgil

Gangadhar Gopal Gadgil (25 August 1923 – 15 September 2008) was a Marathi writer from Maharashtra, India.
He was born in Mumbai in 1923. After receiving a master's degree in economics from the University of Mumbai, he worked as a professor of economics at Sydenham College and also a few other colleges in Mumbai.
==Expertise in economics==
Gadgil stood for consumer rights. He was associated with ''Grahak Panchayat, Mumbai'' for a long time, and served for 15 years as the organization's president.
He wrote text books on Economics for college students. For some time, he served as an economic and financial advisor to Walchand Hirachand Group.
